North Carolina Grants Key Permit For Atlantic Coast Pipeline

Ryan joins journalist Elizabeth Ouzts and guest host Adam Hochberg in WUNC’s Durham studio to discuss a key environmental permit granted by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality to build the Atlantic Coast Pipeline. Includes discussion of Governor Roy Cooper’s $57.8 million mitigation agreement with pipeline developers, announced on the same day that state officials issued the environmental permit (Clean Water Act Section 401 water quality certification).
